Corrections Victoria is responsible for the direction, management and operation of Victoria's corrections system, which incorporates prisons and Community Correctional Services. H.M Prison Dhurringile is a minimum security prison for men located in Murchison, Victoria and focuses on prisoner re-integration into the community.
Reporting to the prison Offender Services Manager, the Programs Coordinator is responsible and accountable for providing support to a multi-disciplinary team in case planning implementation, communicating effectively with a range of individuals and coordinating the flow of information to achieve business unit objectives.
About the role:
The Programs Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of program services to the prisoners at HM Prison Dhurringile. The Programs Coordinator will assist in the ongoing development of prison programs in line with legislative requirements, best practice, and prison policy and correctional standards.
Some of your duties will include:
- Assisting the Programs Manager in the evaluation and monitoring of prisoner programs.
- Providing support and supervise a team of program staff, professionals, and contractors.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of prison programs in line with best practice.

- Demonstrated skills and experience in welfare practice or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to identify needs and to develop, implement and evaluate programs for staff and prisoners.
