G4S Compliance & Investigations (Ireland) Limited are a leading supplier of investigation solutions to the Irish insurance industry. We are seeking a Claims Investigator to join our team working throughout the Republic of Ireland.
Job Description:
- Undertake tasks identified as being necessary in support of an investigation, including seizure and viewing of evidential material, taking evidential statements from witnesses and undertaking enquiries.
- Secure the best evidence through thorough investigation and effective management of all available resources, working with the Case Manager to an agreed case investigation plan, in order to resolve issues and allow a considered decision to be taken regarding further action. Some cases will be completed by the successful candidate from start to finish.
- Prepare and submit completed evidential files to the Case Manager, observing the highest professional standards, and meeting the required standard in relation to quality and timelines (SLA).
- Attend court hearings and case conferences as required, giving evidence in relation to those aspects of any investigation which the post holder has had any involvement during the investigation process or are within their personal knowledge.
- Liaise with internal units, police forces, external agencies and the public, in relation to the gathering of evidence, identifying and tracing offenders and ensuring that all aspects of the investigation are taken into account.
- This role is hybrid but it is envisaged that the majority of work will be carried out at desk from the successful candidates home. If any field activity is required then a company vehicle will be provided on those occasions for business use purposes only. A secure office space will be required at the successful candidates home.
- Undertake open source research and complete reports.
- Experience investigating motor and employer/public liability claims is desirable.
The Successful Candidate will:
- Have a proven insurance-orientated and/or investigative background, who is willing to be flexible in their working hours and have the ability to meet the challenges of a demanding and complex workload. Some occasional evening and weekend work will be required and successful candidates will manage their own diaries to accommodate this.
- Occasional overnight stays may be required around Ireland and Hotel accommodation and expenses will be provided.
- Hold a Full Driving Licence.
- Be an excellent communicator.
- Be able to accurately record evidence and complete other admin.
- Be calm and adaptable in ever changing situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft and Google packages.
- Prepared to travel throughout Ireland when required.
- Starting salary will be discussed with the successful candidate depending on experience.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation relating to motor and ELPL claims.
- The candidate MUST be CIP qualified as a minimum.
All applicants will be security screened to PSA 42:2015 standard and will be required to provide proof of identity, residence and the right to work in the ROI.
Benefits: 20 days annual leave (per annum), plus Bank Holidays, a company vehicle will be provided for business use when required. Annual fee for the membership to the Insurance institute. All equipment for this role will be provided.
