Home Support Worker (FT) [Australia]


 

Job Details:

Position Overview:
  • Home Support Workers help our clients with:
  • Personal care such as showering, grooming, or dressing.
  • Social support with companionship or attending to the community for appointments or recreational activities.
  • Capacity-building activities to assist with learning new skills or increasing independence.
  • Domestic assistance such as meal preparation, grocery shopping, or light household cleaning and assistance.
  • Recording attendance through a smartphone application as well as a summary of tasks completed.

Requirements:
  • The ideal candidate would be someone who can be proactive in supporting an individual with unique needs and preferences in their daily living activities.
  • They would also need to commit to work arrangements required to attend to the physical, psychological, and social support needs of our clients. – we offer flexibility for work within school hours!

Home Support Workers are required to have:
  • National Police Check (Less than a year old).
  • Driver’s License.
  • Comprehensively insured, registered, and well-maintained car.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or a similar discipline.
  • (Aged Care, Disability, Home and Community Care, Personal Assistance).
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
  • At least 12 months of experience in a similar role.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or Working with Children Check is advantageous.

Remuneration:
  • Regal Care pays SCHADS award wages with the addition of generous bonuses pro rate to the jobs attended.
  • Additionally, we provide paid induction and other training opportunities and offer permanent part-time positions to all employees when they complete an employment threshold with us.

Selection Criteria:
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks referred to in the position overview.
  • Ability to meet compliance and qualification criteria referred to in requirements.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Availability to work at least three days a week.
  • Registered, road-worthy, and insured vehicle.
