Job Description: Groundskeeper & Property Maintenance
Y Estates is a real estate management firm that holds properties in the scenic locations of Montebello, Tremblant, and Montreal, Quebec, Canada. We are currently seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to oversee our diverse portfolio of properties in these stunning regions.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Groundskeeper & property maintenance aficionado to join our team and contribute to the upkeep and maintenance of our properties. As a Groundskeeper & property maintenance specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the estate and properties are maintained with the utmost care.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ultimate Lawn care of estate: Mowing, watering, weeding, and fertilizing the lawn.
- Landscaping: Planting, pruning, and maintaining trees, shrubs, and flower beds.
- Exterior maintenance: Cleaning and repairing the exterior of the building, including painting, siding repairs, and gutter cleaning.
- Roof maintenance: Inspecting for damage and leaks, repairing or replacing shingles or roofing materials as needed.
- Plumbing: Fixing leaks, repairing or replacing pipes, and maintaining the plumbing system.
- Electrical work: Checking and fixing electrical outlets, switches, and wiring issues.
- HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) maintenance: Servicing and cleaning heating and cooling systems.
- Appliance maintenance: Inspecting and repairing or replacing appliances as needed.
- Pest control: Managing and preventing infestations of pests like insects, rodents, or termites.
- Cleaning: Regular cleaning of the interior and exterior spaces, including windows, floors, and common areas.
- Safety checks: Ensuring that safety features such as smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire extinguishers are in working order.
- Security: Maintaining locks, security systems, and surveillance equipment to protect the property.
- Waste management: Handling trash and recycling removal and maintaining waste containers.
- Repairs and renovations: Conducting necessary repairs and improvements to maintain or enhance the property's value.
- Seasonal tasks: Addressing tasks specific to each season, such as snow removal, leaf raking, or pool maintenance.
- Renovation projects: Undertaking larger renovation or remodeling projects to upgrade or modernize the property.
- Record-keeping: Maintaining records of maintenance activities, expenses, and any work performed by contractors for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a groundskeeper or landscaper, property maintenance associate is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of plant care, landscaping and construction.
- Familiarity with operating and maintaining property equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
